Ms. Liaisan Aiupova comes from Russia from a town called Aktanysh. She graduated from the Kazan State Pedagogical University with a degree in English and Russian. After graduating in1998, she worked in Kazan at a creative activity centre for children as an English teacher where she fell in love with teaching English. In 2009, she moved to her native town Aktanysh and took a teaching post at the Boarding school of Humanities for gifted children. It was there that she launched her career of a secondary school teacher and she has been doing it ever since.
In 2012 she did a TKT course at EF school in Manchester (The UK) and got the certificates with the highest band 4 for each module.
In 2016, she was promoted to the rank of a vice principal. Her new job involved assisting with recruitment, staff training and supporting newcomers. She got a diploma in management in education from TISBI University of Management in 2018.
In 2019, Ms. Liaisan took an IELTS course at BKC-ih in Moscow.
In 2020 she decided to move to Kazan seeking a more advanced and diverse educational environment for professional growth and self-development.
Ms. Liaisan believes that a foreign language is a tool of informal learning and multicultural education which helps learners enter the internationalized, rapidly changing labor market. She loves getting to know her students and enjoys making learning fun for them. She implements various student engagement strategies like TED Talks, debates and movies discussions. She wants her lessons to be a relaxed safe space for her students to speak, make mistakes and get inspired.
